Frankie Dettori MBE

Frankie Dettori was awarded an honorary MBE for services to racing in the 2001 New Year Honours.

In 2011 Frankie was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science at Anglia Ruskin University.

In addition, throughout his illustrious career Frankie has won a large number of awards both in and outside of horse racing and these include:

BBC Sports Personality of the year 1996

Flat Jockey of the Year at ‘The Lesters’ in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 (tied) and 2004.

Longines ‘Word’s Best Jockey’ 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020
